The Burnie City Council recognises the importance of volunteers and the valuable contribution they make. Volunteering allows people to connect to their community and to make it a better place. The diversity of thought and wide range of individual skills experiences that volunteering brings, supports to enhance Council activities for the benefit of the whole community.

Council provides opportunities for all-year-round and seasonal volunteering to suit different needs. This might include undertaking activities for the Burnie Museum, Cruise Ships, Visitor Information, Community Events, Natural Resource Management (NRM) Projects, City Clean-up Crew.
