FREE Community Workshops – What Makes a Successful Event?

IMG_3249.jpeg

The Burnie community is invited to attend a workshop to help design, plan, and manage your event.

  • Do you need help planning and managing events?
  • Applying for funding can be overwhelming.
  • You need more people to come along to your events.
  • Do you have great ideas for events, but are unsure where to start?
  • You don’t have many volunteers and need more help. Who can you ask?

If this sounds like you, your club or your group…we think we can help!

No matter how big or small, a well-planned event can make a huge difference to organisers and patrons. You might also be able to make more money for your club, group or community!

This workshop will cover design and planning topics – the what, why, and how. We will learn why it is important to know who the target audience is. How to tell them about our event. What resources do we have? Who are our volunteers and stakeholders? Are there other partners who could help?

We will also learn about event management topics. These include logistics, safety, and finance.

Yummy food and refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome.

This training is provided by Burnie Works and the Burnie City Council and will be delivered by the University of Tasmania.
