Middle Years Action Group
Community is invited to join a new Action Group for the Middle Years Project.
Last year, Communities for Children Burnie and Burnie Works explored how families of primary school-aged children access and navigate supports in Burnie. The aim: to co-design a product or service to meet community needs.
We call it the Middle Years project. It is for families with children aged 5 to 12 years (Prep to Year 6).
NEXT STEPS
The middle years Project is having its first Action Group meeting working on a plan for Burnie Works and how to test the middle years hub idea.
Burnie Works have $100,000 to create something that the community wants and has designed. We will trial and test this work and collect the data to inform change for the future. Imagine if we design something here in Burnie that changes people’s lives, and we get to keep it going! If it doesn’t work as we thought we learn from this experience, and we try again! We get to say what success looks like for us. We need community to lead the way.
