Be immersed in colour at the magnificent Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens!
A forest therapy guide helps you to slow down, be present in your body and the environment. Be invited to take part in activities to enhance these health benefits such as stretching, deep breathing, and mindfulness. Forest therapy / Shinrin Yoku is an evidence based practice that can reduce the effects of stress, enhance your immune system and improve mood.
We will explore the gardens with our senses, science and poetry.
Walks run for 2 hours and conclude with a simple tea ceremony. Ticket price includes day entry to the garden with its many plant varieties, lakes and resident wildlife! Member discount available at checkout.
Who: Walks are suitable for adults with moderate fitness, who can walk slight inclines. Recommended for ages 12+
Meet : Outside the tea rooms 5 min before scheduled time.
Bring : Clothing to be warm while standing (we move slowly), a raincoat to sit on.
Guide and plant enthusiast, Elspeth Brock, is a qualified horticulturalist, certified Forest Therapy Guide with the International Nature and Forest Therapy Alliance (INFTA) and Qi Gong community leader.
