Surf Life Saving State Carnival

Burnie proudly hosts Junior, Nippers, and Senior Open Statewide Carnival days, along with Surf Boat Statewide Carnival #3, bringing teams from across the state to compete in a celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and community spirit.

These vibrant surf carnivals feature thrilling events that showcase lifesaving skills, endurance, and camaraderie. On the beach, enjoy the spectacle of sprints, flags, and relays, while water events like surf swims, board and ski races, and the Ironman/Ironwoman challenges keep the excitement high. Team competitions such as board rescues, rescue tube races, Cameron relays, and surf boat races demonstrate incredible coordination and strength, while Nippers events and highlights like the Lifesaver Relay and traditional March Past add to the diverse program.
