Development Application – Exhibition Documents Available

The Burnie City Council is pleased to advise that the formal Development Application (DA) for the Cooee Point to Cam River section of the Coastal Pathway has now been lodged. Mayor Teeny Brumby said “This is another exciting milestone for our community in delivering this long awaited project.

The Development Application is now on public exhibition.  The exhibition documents may be viewed at the Burnie City Council Offices between 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday and can also be download from the Council’s website.”

Any person may make representation relating to this matter by way of an application in writing addressed to the Acting General Manager, Burnie City Council, PO Box 973, Burnie 7320, or by sending their application to burnie@burnie.tas.gov.au by no later than 5.00pm on 17 May 2023.

Mayor Brumby said “The Council are now preparing tender documentation that we expect to advertise in June/July 2023.  Subject to the availability of building contractors, we envisaged start date of September 2023.”
