Traffic changes on the new Cam River Bridge

The Department of State Growth will be moving westbound traffic travelling toward Wynyard onto the new Cam River Bridge.
They will be moving westbound traffic travelling toward Wynyard on to the new Cam River Bridge first. After the westbound traffic has been moved, they will be doing night works to widen the approaches to the new bridge. Once the approaches have been widened, the eastbound traffic will then be moved on to the new Cam River Bridge.
There will be a reduced speed limit with a single lane closure at night during our working hours, 7:00 pm to 6:00 am.
Westbound traffic heading towards Wynyard, will be moved onto the new Cam River Bridge on the Bass Highway from 7:00 am on Thursday, 7 December 2023.
After the westbound traffic has been moved, they will be doing night works to widen the approaches to the new Cam River Bridge.
For this work to occur Bass Highway, between Falmouth Street in Somerset and East Cam Road in Camdale will be reduced to a single lane at night during working hours between 7:00pm and 6:00am from Thursday, 7 December to Friday, 15 December 2023, weather permitting.
The Department of State Growth will provide updates closer to when they will move eastbound traffic, heading towards Burnie, onto the new Cam River Bridge on the Bass Highway.
