Burnie Counts on the Waterfront
Published on 08 April 2024
On Monday, 8 April, the Burnie Counts Foreshore Maths Activities were launched, offering educational activities along the Burnie Foreshore.
These include a large compass, height chart, sea creature measurement path, and a human-sized Snakes and Ladders board. The project, developed by local schools, and funded by the Tasmanian Community Fund, aims to engage children with fun, outdoor learning while boosting numeracy skills. The program also supports professional development for local school staff and encourages family involvement in children's learning.
