Update your dog's address before registration renewals

Has your dog moved home in Burnie in the past year? If so, please notify Council of your furry friend’s new address at: Dog Registration - Change of Details .

Council will send out the annual renewal notices for dog registration in July and we encourage residents to ensure Council has the correct residential address for your dog, as your pet’s registration is its ticket home should they wander off.

Last year we rolled out new and improved lifetime metal dog registration tags. If your lifetime metal tag is lost or damaged, replacement tags are available from Council for a nominal fee. Simply contact us via phone or email, and we'll assist you.

If you've recently moved to Burnie or welcomed a new dog into your family, waste no time and register your dog by downloading the registration form from burnie.tas.gov.au.  Dogs need to be registered from 6 months of age.
