Outdoor pool maintenance update

The Burnie Aquatic Centre’s 50m outdoor pool has been undergoing some maintenance since its seasonal closure at the end of March, with workers this week priming the pool’s shell in preparation for another two top-coats of protective coating.
Work includes grinding back all old paint, replacing all floor and wall expansion joints and a new coat of paint. This will come up fantastic when completed!
The work will ensure the Olympic size pool will be in perfect condition for when the season for the outdoor pool opens again in October. The centre’s indoor 25m pool is heated and open year-round.
