Romaine Reserve Pathway

We’re excited to share the latest progress on the pathway upgrade at Romaine Reserve!

Our team has been hard at work transforming the old crushed-granite track into a smooth, durable 2.5m wide shared-use concrete path.

Here’s what’s been happening so far:
✔️ Gravel access tracks laid and compacted to support machinery.
✔️ Old bridges removed and HDPE culverts installed to manage water flow under the path.
✔️ Boxing installed for stability, prepping for a sleek concrete finish.

Why this matters: These upgrades create a safer, low-maintenance, and enjoyable pathway for walkers, runners, and cyclists alike.

⛔ Temporary Closure Reminder: A section of the track will remain closed until mid-December as we work to complete this exciting project. Thank you for your patience as we enhance this beautiful space for the community!

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to improve Romaine Reserve.

December 2024
Approximately 350m of gravel footpath at Romaine Reserve has been upgraded to a wider concrete path, offering a safer space for cyclists and pedestrians to pass each other comfortably. A remaining section will be completed once the adjacent bridges are upgraded later this financial year.
