What is my Property Zoned?

To determine your property's zoning in Tasmania, use the

Enter your property's Address, Title or Property Identification Number (PID) (from your rates notice)

The portal will display your property's zoning, relevant overlays, and general property information, and you can generate a downloadable Property Report containing maps, zoning details, codes, and other relevant data.

 

There is also a Guided Enquiry service to identify planning, building, and plumbing rules that may apply to a proposed project, for a number of common developments

  • Who to consult: e.g., local council, Heritage Tasmania.
  • Who can do the work: e.g., a licensed builder.
  • What to apply for: e.g., planning, building, or plumbing permits.

 

If additional questions arise after completing an enquiry, you can submit your request directly through PlanBuild Tasmania.
