Phones are recycled using the Mobile Muster program.
MobileMuster is the product stewardship program of the mobile phone industry and is accredited by the federal government. It is voluntarily funded by all of the major handset manufacturers and network carriers to provide a free mobile phone recycling program in Australia to the highest environmental standard.
Remember to wipe your data from the phone.

Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) and fluorescent tubes contain small amounts of mercury, which is an environmental and health hazard. For this reason alone, fluorescent lighting should not be disposed of in your household rubbish.
